The Lead Commercial Painter is responsible for applying paints, stains, coatings, and finishes to a variety of surfaces in commercial settings. This includes both interior and exterior surfaces, such as walls, ceilings, floors, and other structures. The role requires knowledge of painting techniques, equipment, and safety standards. A successful Commercial Lead Painter will maintain high-quality standards while adhering to project timelines. MUST HAVE AT LEAST 3-5 YEARS PAINTING EXPERIENCE.
Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour.
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week.
Typical Schedule: Monday thru Friday, year-round.

Role and Responsibilities:
On-site leadership:
Direct the daily workflow of the painting crew, ensuring tasks are assigned efficiently and deadlines are met.
Production & Labor:
Perform high-level painting, surface preparation, and finishing tasks alongside the team.
Quality Control:
Conduct final walkthroughs to ensure all work meets company standards and client specifications before project completion.
Safety Oversight:
Ensure the team follows all safety protocols, including proper ladder usage, ventilation, and hazardous material disposal.
Communication:
Act as the primary point of contact between the field crew and the Division Manager; provide daily progress updates.
Mentorship:
Train junior painters and laborers on technique, tool maintenance, and site cleanliness.
Surface Preparation:
Clean, smooth, and prepare surfaces by scraping, sanding, or priming as necessary.
Remove old paint, stains, or coatings, and repair damaged surfaces (e.g., patching holes, cracks, and drywall).
Painting & Coating:
Apply paint, stain, and other finishes to a variety of commercial surfaces, using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
Mix and match colors and finishes to achieve the desired result.
Ensure smooth and even application and pay attention to details and finish quality.
Safety & Compliance:
Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment at all times.
Use protective gear, including masks, gloves, and goggles, as needed.
Ensure all materials and equipment meet safety standards and codes.
Tool & Equipment Maintenance:
Maintain painting equipment, tools, and supplies in good condition.
Ensure all tools are cleaned and stored properly after use.
Working Conditions:
Job sites may include both indoor and outdoor environments, with exposure to varying weather conditions.
The role may require working at heights, such as on a lift, scaffolding, and/or ladders.
