Charyl Stockwell Elementary is hiring full-time Paraprofessionals/TST Assistants for a 10-month (200 days) position , with summers off.
Charyl Stockwell Academy is seeking a dependable, caring, and student-focused paraprofessional/TST Assistant to join our elementary school team. The paraprofessional works closely with teachers and support staff to provide academic, organizational, and social-emotional support to students.
Essential Responsibilities:
Support students individually and in small groups with academic and social-emotional needs.
Assist teachers with instruction, interventions, accommodations, and modifications.
Reinforce classroom expectations and support a positive, structured learning environment.
Supervise students throughout the school day, including classrooms, hallways, lunch, arrival, dismissal, and school activities.
Assist students with organization, assignments, study skills, and technology.
Collect student data and maintain confidentiality of student information.
Collaborate professionally with teachers, special education staff, and administrators.
Participate in meetings, professional development, and other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
Qualifications & Physical Requirements:
Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
Ability to work effectively with students and respond appropriately to changing student needs.
Ability to stand and walk throughout the school day and occasionally bend, kneel, crouch, reach, or lift/move up to 50 pounds.
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree or completion of college coursework in education, child development, psychology, or a related field preferred.
