Lutheran Sunset Ministries is seeking an energetic, outgoing, and compassionate individual to join our Activities Department . If you enjoy working with seniors, creating meaningful experiences, and bringing joy to others, we encourage you to apply.

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. 

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, direct, and assist residents in a variety of recreational and social activities.
• Work collaboratively with nursing staff, the social services department, and other team members while following the guidance of the Activity Director.
• Assist residents in achieving their individual activity goals as identified through assessments and their Plan of Care.
• Take initiative, work independently, and demonstrate the ability to be a self-starter.
• Distribute monthly activity calendars to residents.
• Update and maintain resident information boards and event boards on a monthly basis.
• Encourage resident participation and help create a positive, engaging environment.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Basic computer skills required to document daily activities in accordance with state regulations.
• Ability to organize and lead group activities while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Dependable, creative, and enthusiastic.

Professional Appearance

• Scrub pants and an appropriate t-shirt.
• Dress up for special events and themed occasions as required.
